South Park

South Park has been the hottest market in San Diego real estate over the past five years. Located north of A Street and east of Balboa Park, this neighborhood has undergone a real renaissance. Starting with the commercial hub around 30th and Grape, this neighborhood is one of the most sought after in town. The close location, wide streets with period homes, and reasonable prices set off the land rush. While still a good place to invest, do not expect explosive returns in the future. The market has matured and will appreciate along with other established urban neighborhoods, such as Mission Hills.

Along the Park are the best homes but there are nice sub-areas east of Fern Street. There are airplanes landing overhead, but this does not seem to have tempered demand.
