MLS area 601 was the early part of Green Valley, Green Valley was started in 1978 by the American Nevada Corporation. It consists mostly of zip code 89014, with a few homes in zip codes 89120 and 89011. It is bounded on the north by Sunset Road swinging into Russell Road , on the east by Boulder Highway, on the south by Warm Springs Road and on the west by Eastern Avenue.

Some of the landmarks in this area are the Galleria Mall, Sunset Station, Sunset Park, Green Valley high school, Wayne Newton’s house,Whitney Ranch recreation center and Wild Horse golf course.

The high schools serving the residents of this area are Green Valley high school, Basic high school, and Del  Sol high school.

This table was done on Feb 18, 2009. The reason the average available price, and the average pending price on the homes with no bank involvement is so high is because there are many expensive homes going up and down Tomiyasu Lane or Pecos Road, and in an Equestrian Estates and in the Quails. There are homes that are 4000, 5000, 6000 square-foot or more. One of the houses is in contingent status is asking $2,985,000. When you only have four houses in contingent or pending status, that certainly skews the average . Also in the available houses, you have 2 homes asking more than $3,000,000, 2 more that are asking more than 2 million and again on that will bring the average way up.
